Type
Description
---|---|---|
Base Failure Rate
Real (Failures/Million Hours)
The base or manufacturer-supplied failure rate. Generally, this field is left at #.# so that the failure rate is calculated based on the values entered for other parameters. If you enter a value for this parameter, this value is used in place of a calculated failure rate.
Radius - Inside
Real (in). Used in Cdp and Ccf calculations.
The inside radius of the filter in inches, which is used to determine the Cdp factor.
Radius - Outside
Real (in). Used in Cdp and Ccf calculations.
The outside radius of the filter in inches, which is used to determine the Cdp factor.
Design Pressure - Inside
Real. Used in Cdp calculation.
The rated pressure on the inside of the filter, which is used to determine the Cdp factor.
Design Pressure - Outside
Real. Used in Cdp calculation.
The rated pressure on the outside of the filter, which is used to determine the Cdp factor.
Radius at Max Stress
Real (in). Used in Cdp calculation.
The radius of the filter in inches at the point of maximum stress. For filters that flow from outside to inside (most filters), this is equal to the outside radius.
Off Design Pres - Inside
Real. Used in Cdp calculation.
Used to determine the Cdp factor.
Off Design Pres - Outside
Real. Used in Cdp calculation.
Used to determine the Cdp factor.
Inside Pressure - Min
Real. Used in Ccf calculation.
The minimum inside pressure, which is used to determine the Ccf factor.
Inside Pressure - Max
Real. Used in Ccf calculation.
The maximum inside pressure, which is used to determine the Ccf factor.
Outside Pressure - Min
Real. Used in Ccf calculation.
The minimum outside pressure, which is used to determine the Ccf factor.
Outside Pressure - Max
Real. Used in Ccf calculation.
The maximum outside pressure, which is used to determine the Ccf factor.
Tensile Strength
Real (10^3 psi). Used in Ccf calculation.
The tensile strength of the filter media.
Cold Start Temperature
Real (Degrees C). Used in Ccs calculation.
Used to determine the ratio of cold start fluid viscosity in relation to the normal operating fluid viscosity
% Water Volume
Real. Used in Ce calculation.
The percentage of water in system fluid. Considers the effect of incompatible fluids and materials.
System Fluid Type
Choice List. Used in Ccs and Ce calculations.
The type of fluid in the filter, which is used in determining viscosity factors. Choices are:
• Kerosene
• Other
Temperature Rise
Real (Degrees C). Used in Ct and Ccs calculations.
The temperature rise from the ambient subassembly temperature to this component. The temperature rise plus the ambient temperature is equal to the operating temperature of the device.
