Quality levels for 299B parts are noted in the above topics. Temperatures are used by the 299B model in the same manner as the MIL-HBDK-217 model. For more information, see MIL-HDBK-217 Temperature Calculations.

Updates were made to the 299B model in 2006. Changes made to some table values result in the calculation of slightly different failure rates for these parts. Additionally, this model now supports constant failure rates for many new parts. These failure rates are the same for both the Parts Count and Parts Stress methods. An English translation of this standard is available.
