Inserting Repeated Events
A repeated event is a single event that affects multiple portions of a fault tree. When a repeated event occurs, it occurs simultaneously everywhere it is inserted in the tree. All repeated occurrences of the event have the same identifier. When you make any changes to the properties for one occurrence, these same changes are made to the properties for all occurrences. Once a repeated event exists, it remains a repeated event unless all other events with this same identifier are deleted.
The symbol for a repeated event is green by default. The following figure shows the symbol for a repeated basic event. If you repeat another event type, the symbol for that event is this same green color.

In the System file properties, FTA > Repeated event color and FTA > Display repeated events with a different color determine what repeated events look like. For more information, see FTA System File Properties.
Three methods exist for inserting a repeated event. For more information, see:

To go to the next or previous occurrence of a repeated event, right-click the repeated event and select Go to Next Occurrence or Go to Previous Occurrence.
