Inserting a Repeated Event Using the Insert Repeated Event Window
You can insert a repeated event in a fault tree using the Insert Repeated Event window.
1. Select Insert > Repeated Event. The Insert Repeated Event window opens. The Event to Repeat list displays all events in the tree.
2. Select the event to repeat and click OK. The repeated event is attached to the mouse cursor.
3. Place the mouse cursor over the gate beneath which to insert the repeated event. A connector symbol appears to indicate that a connector can be drawn.
Connector Symbol
If you place the mouse cursor over a gate beneath which the repeated event cannot be inserted, a Not sign appears over a transparent version of the connector symbol to indicate that insertion is not permitted at this location.
No Connector Symbol
4. Left-click to insert the repeated event. A connector is inserted along with the repeated event.
As described in Inserting Repeated Events, if repeated events are shown in a different color, both the copied and pasted event appear in the selected color.
In the Options window, Diagrams > Create one object at a time controls insertion behavior. For more information, see Diagrams User Options.
