System Tree Item Configurations Window
To have multiple system tree configurations in one System file, the Configurations table must be turned on in the Table Settings pane in the Project properties. For more information, see Table Settings (Project).
When multiple configurations exist, the System Tree Items table displays the configuration that is currently selected in the Configurations table. When you insert a new configuration in this table, it inherits all assemblies and parts in all existing configurations. Additionally, if you insert an assembly or part in the System Tree Items table, it is inserted in all configurations.
If you want to specify the items that are used in a particular configuration, you open the System Tree Item Configurations window:
Select System > View all System Tree Configurations.
*
Both the command name and the window name depend on the singular name for the System Tree Items table. Additionally, the label for selecting a configuration depends on the singular name for the Configurations table. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
The System Tree Item Configurations window indicates which assemblies and parts are enabled in the configuration that is selected above the table. The default is the active configuration in the Configurations table. However, you can select any existing configuration in this field.
To indicate which assemblies and parts are used in a particular configuration, you select and clear Enabled checkboxes. When a checkbox is selected, the item is used in the configuration. When a checkbox is cleared, the item is not used in the configuration.
You can use the Tree menu provided in the upper left corner of the window to quickly expand and collapse system tree branches. For more information, see Expanding and Collapsing Branches.
The following table describes the options in the System Tree Item Configurations window. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying System Tree Configurations.
