Specifying a Time Interval
Many modules allow you to generate graphs that plot the number of records in a table or calculation results over a specified time interval. During the generation of such graphs, the Select Date Fields page appears. The procedure for completing this page and all subsequent date-related pages follows.
1. Complete the Select Date Fields page, referring to the following table for option descriptions.

Description
Use a single date field
When selected (default), the records used in the count are those that are assigned to a single date field. In the field to the right, select the date field to use. Available for selection are all date fields in the selected table type
Use a date range
When selected, the records used in the count are those that are assigned to the two date fields that then become available.
For Begin, select the date field to use for the starting date.
For End, select the date field to use for the ending date.
2. Click Next. The Starting Date page appears.
3. Complete the Starting Date page, referring to the following table for option descriptions.
Option
Description
First recorded date
When selected (default), the earliest date in the selected date field is used as the starting date.
Selected date
When selected, the field to the right becomes available so that you can indicate the starting date. When you click the drop-down control for this field, the calendar window opens so that you can select the date.
Today’s date
When selected, today’s date is used as the starting date.
4. Click Next. The Ending Date page appears.
5. Complete the Ending Date page, referring to the following table for option descriptions.

Last recorded date
When selected (default), the most recent date in the selected date field is used as the ending date.
Selected date
When selected, the field to the right becomes available so that you can indicate the ending date. When you click the drop-down control for this field, the calendar window opens so that you can select the date.
Today’s date
When selected, today’s date is used as the ending date.
6. Click Next. The Date Interval page appears.
7. Select an option, referring to the following table descriptions.
Option
Description
Daily
When selected, data points are plotted in daily intervals.
Weekly
When selected, data points are plotted in weekly intervals.
Monthly
When selected (default), data points are plotted in monthly intervals.
Yearly
When selected, data points are plotted in yearly intervals
Quarterly
When selected, data points are plotted in quarterly intervals. The Fiscal year end field becomes available so that you can select the month in which your fiscal year ends. The default is December.
8. Click Next. In some cases, the Second Group page appears. In other cases, the Graph Options page appears.
