Creating a Report Design File that Displays a Graph from the Graph Designer
When the settings for the graph shown in the Graph Designer are saved to a Graph Template file, you can create a Report Design file that displays this graph. You can then insert this Report Design file into a Report Binder file. Comprehensive information about reporting and graphing appears in Reporting and Graphing.
1. Select Tools > Create Report Design. The Select Report Orientation window opens.
2. Select Portrait or Landscape and click OK.
Once the file is created, a window opens, indicating its name. By default, the Report Design file is assigned the name shown in the title bar for the graph, followed by a (Graph) suffix.
3. Click OK to close the window.
4. If desired, you can insert this Report Design file in a Report Binder file. For more information, see Using Report Binder Files to Generate Multiple Reports.
You can also create a Report Design file that displays a graph from the Project Navigator. For more information, see Creating a Report Design File that Displays a Graph from the Project Navigator.
