Sending an Email Message to One or More Users
From any area in the
Administrator application, you can select > to send an email message to one or more users. If you have not specified email settings prior to selecting this command, a window opens, indicating that you must do this first. For more information, see
Specifying Settings for Sending Emails to Users.
1. Select > . The Send Company Email window opens.
The
To and
CC buttons provide for opening the
Select Names window, where you select and enter email addresses for all recipients. Sources include
Windchill Risk and Reliability users and groups as well as the email clients found on your machine. You can send an email to any number of recipients from these sources, which have icons associated with them. For more information, see
Sending an Email Message to One or More Users.
2. Click the To button. The Select Names window opens.
3. For each source from which you want to select recipients, do the following:
a. For Source, select the origin from which to make selections. Below this field, a table displays the groups and users or the contacts in this source.
b. To select a recipient, move the table entry to the Selected list. You can do this by double-clicking the entry or by selecting it and then clicking the Add > button to the right of the table.
4. For each recipient you must manually add, do the following:
a. For New email address, enter the address.
b. Click the Add > button to the right of this field.
The entered address is moved to the Selected list.
5. If you want to remove a recipient from the Selected list, select the entry and then click the < Remove button.
6. When you are finished, click OK. When you return to the Send Company Email window, the To field is updated with the selected recipients. A comma (,) separates each group, user, and/or contact.
7. If you want to send a copy of this email message to one or more other recipients, click the CC button. When the Select Names window opens, repeat steps 3 through 7.
8. For Subject, enter the subject of the email message.
9. In the body area, compose the email message.
10. Click Send to send the email message.
