Resulting Data Sets
For many specialized cases of life data analysis (LDA), you can save non-parametric calculation results to either new or existing parametric data sets for further analysis using distributions. When Resulting data set is available in the Weibull or ALT Parameters pane, you can save the probabilities calculated by a non-parametric method to a free form data type for parametric analysis. To accomplish this, you click the browse button for this parameter. This opens the Life data set window, where you select the parametric life data set in which to save the calculated results from the non-parametric analysis. For more information, see Life Data Set Window.

If the last observed data point in a non-parametric data set is a failure, it is not reported in the parametric data set, and a failure probability is not assigned to it. This is because the failure probability would be equivalent to 1, which is impossible in a parametric analysis and cannot be shown on the probability plot. When Total quantity is used, this can happen for other groups as well because the data points have no confidence bounds and cannot be exported to a valid parametric data set.
