Viewing and Modifying Block Properties
You can view and modify the calculation properties and visual properties for a block using its Calculation Properties window and Visual Properties window.

Performing this procedure affects only the properties assigned to the selected block in the diagram. To change the visual properties of all blocks tied to a particular block style, you must modify the properties for that block style in the RBD Style Library file in which the style is defined. For more information, see RBD Style Library Files.

1. To open the block’s Calculation Properties window, do one of the following:
◦ Double-click the block.
◦ Right-click the block and select Calculation Properties.
◦ Press Alt+Enter.
2. Make any necessary modifications to its calculation properties. For more information, see Block Calculation Properties.
3. When finished, click OK to close the block’s Calculation Properties window.
4. To open the block’s Visual Properties window, right-click the block and select Visual Properties.
In the block’s Visual Properties window, the Preview area displays a sample of the block based on currently specified properties.
When Bind to style is selected (default) on the General page, you can make changes only to the properties under General properties on this same page.
5. On the General page, make any necessary modifications to properties under General properties.
6. To make modifications to properties on other pages, do the following:
a. On the General page, clear Bind to style. The properties on other pages become available.
b. Make the other modifications necessary for this specific block. For more information, see Block Visual Properties.
7. When finished, click OK to close the block’s Visual Properties window.

You can use the navigation control at the top of the Properties window to display the properties for a different block. If unsaved property changes exist for the current block, a window might open for indicating whether you want to save these changes. For more information, see Saving Property Changes.
