Removing a Data Link from a Block
To remove a data link from a block, you can use either commands on the shortcut menu or the Links page in the block’s Calculation Properties window. When you use one of these two methods, which are described below, both the data link and data link button are removed.
Method 1
To remove the data link using the shortcut menu, do the following:
1. Right-click the block and select > . A confirmation window opens.
2. Click Yes.
Method 2
To remove the data link using the Links page in the block’s Calculation Properties window, do the following:
1. In the diagram, double-click the block to open its Calculation Properties window.
2. On the Links page, under Data linking, click Remove.
3. Click OK.
While the properties from the once-linked item are retained by the block, they are no longer display-only. You can now modify all properties. For more information, see
