Inserting System File Blocks into an RBD Block Library File
From the System file, you can use the Insert Selection into Library command to insert the one or more blocks selected in a block diagram into an RBD Block Library file.
1. In the RBD Table, under the Block Diagrams folder, select the diagram.
2. In the diagram, select the block or blocks to insert.
To select multiple blocks, press and hold down Shift while clicking the desired blocks.
3. Select RBD > Insert Selection into Library.
If multiple blocks are selected, the Multiple Blocks Selected window opens.
4. Select the option for inserting selected blocks individually in the RBD Block Library file and click OK.
If no RBD Block Library file is enabled in the Project, one is created and then the blocks are inserted into it.
If one RBD Block Library file is enabled, the blocks are inserted into this file.
If multiple RBD Block Library files are enabled, the blocks are inserted into the first one in the search order for which you have write permissions. For information about setting the search order, see Setting the Search Order for System and Library Files.
As the blocks are pasted into the RBD Block Library file, a window opens, indicating the progress. Once the paste process finishes, another window opens, indicating the name of the RBD Block Library file in which your selection was inserted.
5. Click OK.
When the selected blocks are inserted into the RBD Block Library file, they are each assigned a library identifier. The properties assigned to the block are also copied into the RBD Block Library file. If any User data field is inserted in the RBD Blocks table, the data for this field is copied into the RBD Block Library file. For information about what happens if data links, diagram links, or repeated blocks are present, see Handling of Links and Repeated Blocks for Block Library Files.
You can open the RBD Block Library file and click Edit Visual Properties or Edit Calculation Properties in the RBD Block Definition pane to view and modify properties for the block currently selected in the RBD Blocks table. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying Block Properties in an RBD Block Library File.

When multiple RBD Block Library files are enabled, to insert selected blocks into a file other than the first one in the search order, you can copy the blocks in the RBD Blocks table in the System file and then paste them into the desired RBD Block Library file.
