Handling of Links and Repeated Blocks for Block Library Files

In the System file, a block can be linked to another item in the System file, linked to another block diagram, or either have or be a repeated block. The following table describes how links and repeated blocks are handled when you insert a System file block into an RBD Block Library file. Block Status in System File	Behavior During Insertion into RBD Block Library File
Has a data link	The data link set for any block is removed before the block is inserted into the RBD Block Library file.
Has a diagram Link	A diagram-linked block cannot be inserted into the RBD Block Library file.
Is a repeat	The Repeat of designation for any repeated diagram block in the System file is removed before the block is inserted into the RBD Block Library file.

You cannot update blocks that are data-linked, diagram-linked, or are repeats of another block.
