Inserting Maintenance Tasks for a Block
You can insert maintenance tasks for a block on the
Maintenance page in its
Calculation Properties window. For more information, see
Maintenance Page.
1. In the diagram, double-click the block to open its Calculation Properties window.
2. On the Maintenance page, in the last row in the Maintenance table, click < Click here to insert a new record >.
The newly inserted task is assigned a unique identifier. The format for the identifier assigned is Task (X), where (X) is the next numeric value.
You can modify this identifier to any unique value. For example, you might enter a descriptive name, such as Change filter.
3. Either here in the Maintenance table or in the tasks’s Maintenance Properties window, complete Description and select or clear Enabled.
4. To open the task’s Maintenance Properties window, do the following:
a. Ensure that the appropriate task is selected in the Maintenance table.
b. Beneath the table, click
Edit Task to open its
Maintenance Properties window. For more information, see

5. Complete the pages in this window and then click OK.
RBD Maintenance Library files store tasks for reuse. For more information, see
RBD Maintenance Library Files. When you use these support files, you can copy the properties for a library task into a block’s calculation properties. For more information, see

Additionally, from the
Maintenance Properties window for any task, you can update it with the data for a library task. For more information, see
