Building or Updating Block Data from the Build/Update Window
You can use the Build/Update window to build or update block data in System files and RBD Block Library files.
1. To indicate which fields to use when updating block data in the System file with library block data, do the following:
a. From the System file, select View > File Properties. The File Properties window opens.
b. Under RBD, click Block Library update fields.
A window opens for choosing which fields to update. For more information, see Window for Field Update Selection.
c. Select the checkboxes for the fields to update and click OK.
d. To close the File Properties window, click the X in the upper right corner.
2. In the RBD Table, under the Block Diagrams folder, select the diagram.
3. If you want to limit the build or update i to a particular block in the diagram, select the block.
4. Select RBD > Build/Update. The Build/Update window opens. For more information, see Build/Update Window for Blocks.
5. Complete this window and click OK. A window opens, displaying progress information about the build or update. Once the process finishes, a window opens, indicating that the process is complete.
6. Click OK to close this window.
If any custom User fields are inserted in the RBD Blocks table, data is copied into them during an update. For Attachments fields, copies of specified external files are created.
