Window for Field Update Selection
In the System file properties, Block Library update fields, which appears under RBD, has a selection window associated with it. When you click in the Setting column for this property, a browse button becomes available. Clicking this browse button opens this window.
In this window, you can indicate what block data in RBD Block Diagram Library files to copy to the System file when an update is performed.
• Clicking a checkbox for a heading switches between selecting and clearing the checkboxes for all fields under it. The checkbox for the Visual heading at the bottom of the window controls whether visual properties for blocks are copied during the update.
• Clicking a checkbox for a particular field switches between selecting and clearing it. Under General, checkboxes are present for all User fields that can be inserted in the RBD Blocks table. By default, all checkboxes for User fields are selected so that their data is copied during the update. For User Attachments fields, the external files specified as attachments are copied into an Attachments folder so that you can open them from Windchill Risk and Reliability. Once you finish selecting the fields to update, you click the green checkmark to save your changes and close the window. Clicking the red x closes the window without saving your changes.
Under RBD, Block Library update fields indicates whether all fields or only selected fields are updated when you update a System file block with library block data. When All Fields is selected (default), all fields are updated. When Custom Fields is selected, at least one field has been excluded from updates. For information about updating block properties, see:
