Steps for Creating and Setting Up a Prediction Parts Library File
The following table provides guidance on the steps you take to create a Prediction Parts Library file. In addition to supplying general instructions and descriptions, this topic references other topics where appropriate. These referenced topics typically describe how to perform the actions indicated.
The actions in the following table are numbered to indicate that they are performed sequentially. To successfully set up and use a Prediction Parts Library file, you must complete these actions in the order in which they are listed.

1. Create or open the Prediction Parts Library file and specify the calculation model and method to use in its file properties.
You create or open this file in the same manner as any other file.
2. Insert the necessary parts and the prediction data for these parts.

When you enter a part number in the Parts Table, a search for a match begins. If a match is found, the data for this part is retrieved and shown in part-related panes. You may need to modify this data to better reflect the operation of the part in your system.
3. Specify the order in which to search enabled Prediction Parts Library files.
