Steps for Completing Prediction FIDES Application Factor Files
The following table provides guidance on the steps you take to complete Prediction FIDES Application Factor files. In addition to supplying general instructions and descriptions, this topic references other topics where appropriate. These referenced topics typically describe how to perform the actions indicated.

The actions in the following table are numbered to indicate that they are performed sequentially. To successfully complete Prediction FIDES Application Factor files, you must complete these actions in the order in which they are listed.

1. Ensure that a FIDES model is selected as the model for the top-most assembly in the System Tree Items table.
Prediction FIDES Application Factor files are available only you have a FIDES license. In the Calculation Data pane for the top-most assembly, ensure that a FIDES model is selected for Calculation model.
2. Complete the Project’s Prediction FIDES Mission Profile file so that appropriate mission profiles and phases are defined.
The Prediction FIDES Mission Profile file stores the mission profiles and phases experienced by the system. You should complete this file prior to completing Prediction FIDES Application Factor files. For more information, see Prediction FIDES Mission Profile Files.
3. Create or open the Prediction FIDES Application Factor file and insert the necessary phases.

4. For each phase, complete the question set shown in the Application Questions pane.

5. Enable the Prediction FIDES Application Factor files for the appropriate assemblies and parts.
