Specifying How Multiple Matches are Handled
Under Parts Library Search in the Options window, Multiple correlated part match handling and Multiple part match handling control how to handle multiple part number matches. The first option controls how to handle multiple matches found in enabled Prediction Correlation Library files. The second option controls how to handle multiple matches found in enabled Prediction Parts Library files. For more information, see Multiple Match Handling.
1. Select Tools > Options. The Options window opens.
2. Under Parts Library Search, locate Multiple correlated part match handling and Multiple part match handling.
3. For each of these options, do one of the following.
To retrieve and insert part data for the first part number match found, select Select First Part Found. This is the default.
To display all matching part numbers in the Library Browse window, select Display All Matching Part Numbers. When a part number search returns multiple matches, the Library Browse window opens and displays them so that you can choose the part to insert. For more information, see Library Browse Window.
4. When finished, close the
Options
window by clicking the X in the upper right corner.
