MTTR Type

In the Calculation Data pane for an assembly, and also in the General Data pane for a part, MTTR type indicates whether the MTTR (mean time to repair) is calculated or specified.

• For an assembly, MTTR type is always available. For more information, see Calculation Data Pane.

• For a part, MTTR type is available only when Repairable is selected. For more information, see General Data Pane (Part).

The following table describes the choices available for MTTR type. The units for MTTR are specified by Repair Time units under General in the Project properties. The choices are Hours and Minutes. The default is Minutes. For more information, see General Project Properties.

MTTR Type	Description
Calculated	When selected (default), the MTTR is calculated based on the data entered in the Maintainability module. This choice is available only if you have the Maintainability module licensed. For more information, see Windchill Maintainability
Specified	When selected, MTTR specified becomes available so that you can enter the MTTR. This value is then used in availability calculations. If you do not enter a value, availability is not calculated for this item.
