Calculation Data for Specifying Whether Assembly Results are Calculated or Specified

In the Calculation Data pane for an assembly, the model inherited from the parent assembly, or the override model selected for Calculation model, determines which form is shown. While the majority of fields provide for specifying either general or model-dependent calculation data, the last several fields on the right side specify whether various results are calculated or specified. The following table describes these standard fields.

Field	Description
MTTR type	The type of MTTR (mean time to repair) for the assembly. The default is Calculated. When Specified is selected, MTTR specified becomes available so that you can enter the MTTR for the assembly. For more information, see MTTR Type.
MTTR specified	The MTTR for the assembly. This field is available when Specified is selected for MTTR type.
Cost type	The type of cost for the assembly. Choices are Calculated or Specified. The default is Calculated. When Specified is selected, Cost, specified becomes available so that you can enter the cost for the assembly.
Cost, specified	The cost of the assembly. This field is available when Specified is selected for Cost type. The units for cost can be whatever you want. However, you should use the same units for all costs that you entered in the System file.
Failure rate type	The type of failure rate or MTBF (mean time between failures) for the assembly. Choices are: Allocated; Calculated, Specified, Failure Rate; and Specified, MTBF. The default is Calculated, which means that the reliability prediction standard selected for Calculation model is used to compute a failure rate. The selection you make in this field determines if either of the subsequent fields is available. For more information, see Failure Rate Types for Assemblies and Parts.
Failure rate, specified	The failure rate for the assembly. This field is available when Specified, Failure Rate is selected for Failure rate type.
MTBF specified	The MTBF for the assembly. This field is available when Specified, MTBF is selected for Failure rate type.
