Insert Prediction Part Window
The Insert Prediction Part window provides for inserting a part in the Parts Table for the active assembly in the System Tree Items table. The following table describes the options in this window. You can either enter the part number for which to search or select the part classification, category, and subcategory. Option
Description
Part Number
The part number that identifies the part.
Part Classification
The class of the part, which determines the categories that are available for selection. For more information, see Part Classifications.
Category
The type of the part, which determines the subcategories that are available for selection.
Subcategory
The subtype of the part.
If Enter default values for new parts is selected under Prediction in the Options window, when you make selections for Part Classification, Category, and Subcategory, the default values specified for the part in the Project’s Prediction Defaults file are entered in the Prediction Data pane.
