Generating a Prediction Data Value Per System Tree Item Graph
When Data value per System Tree Item is selected on the Prediction Graph Type page of the Graph Wizard, you can graph the value stored in a data field for each system tree item. You select the data field for which to graph values and then indicate the field to use for displaying the x-axis labels for the value graph.
*
The label for this option depends on the singular name specified for the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
1. Start the Graph Wizard and complete the first few pages as described in Generating a Prediction Graph.
2. On the Prediction Graph Type page, select Data value per System Tree Item and click Next. The Select Value Field page appears.
3. For Data field, select the field with the values you want to graph.
4. Click Next. The Filter Data page appears so that you can indicate which records to use for the graph.
5. Complete this page, which is shown by most prediction reports. For more information, see Filter Data Page.
6. Click Next. The Change Label Field page appears so that you can indicate if a field other than the default is to be used for displaying x-axis labels.
Data field displays the default, which is the primary display field for the System Tree Items table. If this field is blank, then the default is the secondary display field for this table. For more information, see Display Fields.
7. To use the default field, click Next. Otherwise, to use a different field, do the following:
a. Select Change the field used to display the labels on the x-axis.
b. For Data field, select the field to use for the labels.
If the values in this field are not unique for all values being graphed, the value is shown only once. The resulting graph does not indicate the record to which this value corresponds. Therefore, to generate a meaningful graph, select a field with unique values over the range of records that is being graphed.
Click Next. The Graph Options page appears.
8. Complete the Graph Options page and all remaining pages to generate the graph. For more information, see Specifying Graph Options.
Once the wizard closes, the Select Configuration window opens if more than one configuration exists in the System file.
9. If the Select Configuration window opens, select the appropriate configuration and click OK to generate the graph.
In the graph, data points are sorted alphabetically by the values shown for the x-axis. You can drill down on the record associated with a data point. For more information, see Drilling Down On and Filtering Data Points.
