General Part Categories and Subcategories
When inserting a part in the System Tree Items table or Parts Table, you must select a part classification, category, and subcategory. You then provide parameters based on the selected calculation model. For more information, see Prediction Calculation Models.
The following topics indicate the subcategories for predefined general part categories, which are supported by all MIL-HDBK-217, Telcordia, Bellcore, 299, and HRD5 models:

The Other part category that existed prior to Relex 2007 v2 has been removed. The parts formerly assigned to this category are converted to an appropriate part classification/category/subcategory. A table describing this conversion appears in Part Category Conversions.
