User-Defined Parts
User-Defined is one of the choices available for Part Classification in the Parts Table. When you select User-Defined here or for Part classification in a part’s General Data pane, the user-defined categories and subcategories stored in the Common Library are available for selection for Category and Subcategory. For more information, see Inserting User-Defined Parts in the Parts Table.
Once a user-defined part is inserted in the Parts Table, in its Prediction Data pane, for Failure Method, you select the method to use to calculate or specify its failure rate. Based on your selection, the appropriate parameters are made available. If you later change your failure method selection, previously entered parameter values are hidden, and parameters for the newly selected method are shown.
