Enabling a Prediction FIDES Process Grade File for a FIDES Assembly
To enable a Prediction FIDES Process Grade file for an assembly, a FIDES model must be selected for the top-most assembly. In addition, the following procedure assumes that you have already completed the question sets for all sections in the Prediction FIDES Process Grade file. For more information, see Completing Question Sets for a FIDES Process Grade File.

Any assembly or part without an inherited or specified Prediction FIDES Process Grade file uses the default value of 4 for the Pi process grade factor. This value represents average manufacturing processes or conditions.
1. If the System file is not already open, then open it.
2. In the System Tree Items table, select the assembly.
3. In the assembly’s Calculation Data pane, click the browse button for FIDES Process Grade file.
A window opens for selecting from all Prediction FIDES Process Grade files. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
4. To select a file, click it. This window closes, and your selection for FIDES Process Grade file is now shown.
Because all assemblies beneath this assembly inherit this file selection, you need only to specify override selections for these assemblies.
5. To override an assembly’s inherited selection, repeat steps 2 through 4.
The next time you run prediction calculations, the selected Prediction FIDES Process Grade files are used for assembly calculations.
