Inserting a Markov Diagram
You can insert any number of Markov diagrams in the System file by inserting records for them in the Markov Table. You can delete a Markov diagram by deleting the record for it from this table. For more information, see Deleting a Table Row.
1. In the Markov Table, do one of the following to insert a Markov diagram:
In the last row, click <Click here to insert a new record>.
Press Insert.
Right-click and select Insert New Diagram or Insert New Diagram Above.
Select Insert > Markov Diagram or Insert > Markov Diagram Above.
The commands for inserting a diagram above provide for inserting a diagram between two existing diagrams. The new diagram is inserted above the diagram selected in the table. All other commands insert the diagram at the end of the table.
You can repeat step 1 multiple times to insert multiple diagrams. To reorder diagrams, you can use the standard Windows drag-and-drop technique.
In Diagram, you can modify the default name assigned to the diagram. Additionally, in Description, you can enter a description.
2. In the Markov Diagram pane, insert states, transitions, and labels as necessary. For more information, see:
When using both the Markov and FTA modules, you can link a fault tree event to a Markov diagram. Information about all of possible data links appears in Data Links.
