Maintainability Groups File

A Maintainability Groups file is a singular support file, which means it is created when the Project is created. You need to enter maintainability groups in this file only if MIL-HDBK-472 Procedure 5A is being used for maintainability predictions.

To use Procedure 5A, Procedure 5A must be selected under Maintainability in the System file properties. For more information, see Maintainability System File Properties.

When this checkbox is selected, Group Name becomes available in the Maintainability Data pane in the System file. The items in the list for Group Name are the maintainability groups entered in the Project’s Maintainability Groups file.

The Maintainability Groups file has two panes in which maintainability groups are entered and the characteristics associated with that group are specified. The following tables describes these panes:

Pane	Description
Maintainability Groups Definition	Lists the maintainability groups to use with MIL-HDBK-472 Procedure 5A. For more information, see Maintainability Groups Definition Pane.
Group Data	Displays the characteristics for the group selected in the Maintainability Groups Definition pane. For more information, see Group Data Pane.
