Maintainability System File Properties
The following table describes the properties that appear under Maintainability in the System file properties. These properties affect Windchill Maintainability when this module is in use.
Property
Description
Frequency of ‘Type 1’ false alarms
The percentage of time that a false alarm is a Type 1 false alarm. Type 1 false alarms are detected during normal operation but cannot be repeated during the fault isolation process. The default is 0.
Frequency of ‘Type 2’ false alarms
The percentage of time that a false alarm is a Type 2 false alarm. Type 2 false alarms are detected and isolated to a removable item when that item does not have an actual fault. The default is 0.
*
While the values entered for the frequencies of Type 1 and Type 2 false alarms should add up to 100, this is not enforced by the software.
Procedure 5A
Indicates whether to use MIL-HDBK-472 Procedure 5A or 5B for maintainability calculations. When this checkbox is cleared (default), Procedure 5B is used. When this checkbox is selected, Procedure 5A is used. For more information, see MIL-HDBK-472 Procedures.
Repair Times adjustment
The value by which to adjust repair times. The default is 0. The selection you make for Repair Times adjustment type determines whether the adjustment is multiplicative or additive.
Repair Times adjustment type
Specifies how to use the value for Repair Times adjustment to adjust repair times. Choices are:
Add — When selected, repair times are adjusted by adding the entered value.
Multiply — When selected, repair times are adjusted by multiplying by the entered value.
None — When selected (default), repair times are not adjusted.
