FTA User Options
The following table describes the user options that appear under FTA in the Options window. They primarily provide for using the color control to specify the colors to use for various items in the fault tree. For more information, see Using the Color Control.

Description
Cut set event report display
The event properties to show in the FTA Cut Sets report. Choices are:
Identifier — When selected (default), the event identifier is shown.
Description — When selected, the event description is shown.
Both Identifier and Description — When selected, both the event identifier and description are shown.
Cut set highlight color (coherent paths)
The color in which to display cut sets for coherent paths when the Highlight Cut Sets command is selected. The default is turquoise.

Cut set highlight color (noncoherent paths)
The color in which to display cut sets for noncoherent paths when the Highlight Cut Sets command is selected. The default is red.
FTA branch insert location
Specifies where to insert a tree branch that you are copying into the System file from an FTA Diagram Library file. Choices are:
Insert as child of selected gate — When selected, the branch is inserted as a child to the active gate in the System file.
Insert as top gate — When selected, the branch is inserted as a new top gate.
Prompt — When selected (default), the Branch Insert Location window opens when you click Insert in the Library Browse window so that you can choose where to insert the library diagram in the System file. For more information, see Inserting a Library Diagram into a New or Existing Fault Tree.
Prompt for gate/event type on insert input
Indicates whether you want the Insert Input window to open when you select Insert Input or select Insert > Input .When this checkbox is selected (default), the Insert Input window opens so that you can select the type of gate or event to insert as an input to the active gate. For more information, see Inserting Gates and Events Using Insert Commands.
Top gate color
The color for a top gate row in the FTA Table. The default is bright blue.
Top gate text color
The text color for a top gate in the FTA Table. The default is white.
Transfer gate color
The color for a transfer gate row in the FTA Table. The default is light blue.
Transfer gate text color
The text color for a transfer gate in the FTA Table. The default is black.
