The Email Message pane provides for configuring the message to send when the criteria are met for the alert selected in the Alerts pane. The message can be a simple, plain text message or be HTML-based.

Before you click To or CC to select recipients, an <empty> label is shown to the right of these buttons. When you click To or CC, the Select Names window opens. In this window, you can select recipients or directly enter their email addresses. For more information, see Select Names Window.

You can use the Data Fields Toolbar to insert data fields in the Subject line or in the body of the message. You can also use the Data Fields Toolbar to insert a field from the Email Templates (Alerts) table type. Because each of these fields is a pre-configured message, inserting one of these fields results in the display of message text that you can use as is or customize.
