Data Definition Reconciliation
When performing list reconciliation as described in Reconciling List Library Changes, three different scenarios result in changes being made to list data in the Data Definition file.
A list referenced in the Data Definition file no longer exists in the List Library file. In this case, the list is removed from List in the Field Definition pane. If this list is attached to a parent field in the Dependent List Definition pane, all of the dependent list data in this pane is also removed.
The list in the List Library file has more choices. If the list is attached to a parent field in the Dependent List Definition pane, the additional items are added to only the first-level dependent list.
The list in the List Library file has fewer choices. If the list is attached to a parent field in the Dependent List Definition pane, the missing items are removed from all levels of the dependent list data.
The Affected Fields window opens if any changes were made to the Data Definition file. For more information, see Affected Fields Window.
