Copying and Reusing Object Properties
The following table describes commands you can use to copy properties for a Markov diagram or RBD object to either the Windows Clipboard or a Style Library file for reuse. You can copy object properties between diagrams, System files, Projects, and instances of Windchill Risk and Reliability.
Command
Description
Copy Visual Properties
Saves the visual properties of the current dominant object to the Windows Clipboard.
Copy Calculation Properties
Saves the calculation properties of the current dominant object to the Windows Clipboard. For Attachments fields, copies of all specified files are created.
Copy All Properties
Saves the visual and calculation properties of the current dominant object to the Windows Clipboard.
Copy Visual Properties to Style
Provides for saving the visual properties of the current dominant object to a Markov or RBD Style Library file. When you select this command, the Create Style window opens. For more information, see Create Style Window.
The above commands, available when an applicable dominant object is active in the diagram, appear on the shortcut menu under the Copy Properties entry when you right-click the object. They also appear on the Edit menu under the Copy Properties command. Additionally, buttons for copying and pasting visual properties to and from the Windows Clipboard appear on the Diagram Tools toolbar. Once properties are copied to the Clipboard, you can use the Paste commands on the Edit or the shortcut menu or the standard Windows Ctrl+V shortcut key combination. Additionally, you can use the Paste Properties command on the Diagram Tools toolbar.
