Configuring a Form Set File
A Form Set file is created when the Project is created. By default, this Form Set file, Form Set, is used for all System files in the Project. Simplify file inputs under General in the Project properties controls whether additional Form Set files can be created. For more information, see General Project Properties.
When this checkbox is selected (default), only one Form Set file can exist in the Project. When you create or copy a Form Design file in the Project, it is automatically enabled in this Form Set file so that it is used for all System and Assembly Library files. While you typically do not need to configure this file, you can select and clear checkboxes for custom forms in its Forms pane to specify which Form Design files to use.
When this checkbox is cleared, multiple Form Set files can exist in the Project. When you create or copy Form Design files in the Project, they are not automatically enabled in these multiple files. In this case, in each Form Set file, you select and clear the checkboxes in the Forms pane to specify the forms to use when this Form Set file is enabled.

Clearing Simplify file inputs requires you to manually enable both Table Format and Form Set files in the File Inputs panes for the Project and possibly specify overrides for System and Assembly Library files. You should clear this checkbox only if you are certain you want to create and enable multiple Table Format and Form Set files. You create these files in the same manner as any other file.
Configuring a Form Set file consists of selecting the forms to use when that Form Set file is enabled. When multiple Form Set files exist, you must perform this procedure for each one.
1. If the Form Set file is not already open, then open it.
2. For each table type with custom forms, perform the following steps.
a. In the Form Sets pane, select the table type. The Forms pane lists all Form Design files for this table type in the Project.
b. In the Forms pane, select the checkboxes for the Form Design files to use.
You can click Uncheck All or Check All to select or clear all checkboxes and then customize your selections from there. Or, to modify the selected Form Design file, you can click Edit. For more information, see Opening and Modifying a Form Design File from the Form Set File.
The order of the Form Design files in the Forms pane determines the order in which the forms appear. To reorder these files, you can use the standard Windows drag-and-drop technique.
3. When finished, close the file. The next time you open this Form Set file, in the Forms pane, the forms that are selected for the active table type appear above those for other table types.
4. If multiple Form Set files exist, enable them. For more information, see Enabling Table Format and Form Set Files.
