Changing the Paper Size for All Reports
In the Options window, General > Report paper size initially indicates the paper size for the supplied Report Design files that are copied into Common Library during installation. This is also the default paper size for any custom Report Design files that you create. For more information, see General User Options.
*
While you can change the selection made for Report paper size, this change takes effect only if you delete the current Common Library and then create a new one. In the Enterprise Edition, these tasks can be performed only by a system administrator.
1. Select Tools > Options. The Options window opens in the pinned mode by default. General information about auto-hide windows and how to use them appears in Auto-Hide Windows.
2. For General > Report paper size, select the other size.
A window opens, indicating that you must re-create the Common Library to obtain reports in this size.
3. Click Yes.
4. Close the Options window.
5. If you have copied custom files into the Common Library, first copy these files into another Project so that they are backed up somewhere.
For example, perform the procedure in Creating the Storehouse and then copy all custom files in the existing Common Library into the Storehouse.
6. Delete the existing Common Library, which you can do in the same way as any standard Project. For more information, see Deleting a Project or File from the Project Navigator.
7. Create the Common Library. For more information, see Creating the Common Library.
Supplied Report Design files in the newly specified paper size are copied into the Common Library. For more information, see Supplied Files.
8. From the Project in which you have placed your custom files, either move or copy the files into the newly created Common Library. For more information, see:
9. For each of these custom Report Design files, make any necessary changes to page properties. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying Page Setup Properties.
