Alerts Pane
The Alerts pane displays information about the alerts inserted in the Alert file for the currently selected table type. The following table describes the options in this pane.
Option
Description
Table type
Provides for selecting the table for which to view alerts. The FMEA and FRACAS tables listed depend on the modules in use as well as which tables are turned on in the Project properties.
Table columns
The following columns appear in the table in the Alerts pane. Clicking <Click here to insert a new record> in the last table row inserts a new alert. For more information, see Inserting an Alert.
Alert Name
The unique name assigned to the alert.
Enabled
Indicates whether the Windchill Risk and Reliability Alert Service is to process the alert. When this checkbox is selected, the alert is processed. When it is cleared, the alert is ignored.
All System Files
Indicates whether the Windchill Risk and Reliability Alert Service is to process the alert for all System files in the Project or only for those files specified in the System Files pane in the lower window. When you insert an alert, this option is selected by default so that the alert is processed for all System files. If you clear this checkbox, the options in the System Files pane become available so that you can specify particular System files against which the alert is to run. For more information, see Specifying the System Files Against Which the Alert is to Run.
*
Within 10 minutes of adding a System file to either the Project or the System Files pane, depending on the status of this checkbox, the Alert Service begins to process the alert for this file.
Time Interval
The frequency at which to run the alert. For more information, see Specifying the Time Interval for the Alert.
Next Time to Run
The next day and time on which the alert is scheduled to run. This field is display-only and cannot be modified.
Remarks
Any notes or comments about the alert.
*
An alert inserted in the FMEA Worksheet table is applied to the lowest-level FMEA data field in the alert’s email. For example, assume that the filter criterion is Effect = Busted. If the lowest-level field is at the mode level, an alert would be sent for each mode record that has an Effect = Busted. If, however, the lowest-level field is at the item level, an alert would be sent only once for any item with a mode record that has an Effect = Busted.
