Specifying the System Files Against Which the Alert is to Run
To specify the System files against which to run the alert, you use the Alerts and System Files panes in the Alert file. You perform the following procedure for each System file to process.
1. If the Alert file is not already open, then open it. You open this file in the same way as any other file.
2. In the Alerts pane, select the alert and clear All System Files for this alert. The options in the System Files pane become available.
3. In the System Files pane, click in System File for the first blank row. A browse button appears to the right of the field.
4. Click the browse button. A selection window opens, displaying all System files in the Project.
5. Select the System file.
The window closes and your selection is shown in the System Files pane.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 6 for each System file against which the alert is to run.
No limit exists on the number of System files against which an alert can be run.
When the alert is triggered, the Windchill Risk and Reliability Alert Service compiles a list of System files that must be checked. If duplicate entries exist in the System Files pane, the alert is run against that System file only once.
