Multiple Data Set Plots for ALT Analysis
When you select ALT as the analysis type in the LDA Navigator, you can insert special data sets under the Multiple Data Set Plots folder. In these data sets, you do not supply data points for analysis but rather select two or more existing ALT data sets or stress profiles for which to generate plots simultaneously in the ALT Plot pane. With results for multiple data sets are shown in the same plot, you can visually compare them to determine if significant differences exist.
When a data set for plotting multiple data sets is active in the LDA Navigator, only two other ALT panes are shown: ALT Plot Options and ALT Plot. In the ALT Plot Options pane, your selection for Analysis controls the type of data sets you can plot.
When ALT Data is selected, Data sets displays only ALT data sets so you can select the ALT data sets to plot in the ALT Plot pane.
When Stress Profile is selected, Data sets displays only stress profiles. so you can select the stress profiles to plot in the ALT Plot pane.
You can click the Select All button or Clear All button to select or clear all data sets or stress profiles and then customize your selections from there.
When ALT Data is selected for Analysis, below Data sets, Number of plots and Plot type are available. The selection you make for Number of plots determines whether additional options shown.
When Single is selected for Number of plots, only Plot type is shown. For it, you select the type of plot to display in the ALT Plot pane.
When Multiple is selected for Number of plots, Vary plots by is the next option. You can vary the multiple plots to graph either by distribution or plot type. When the plots are to vary by distribution, you select the plot type. Checkboxes provide for selecting either the distributions or plot types to graph. All of these options work in the same manner as those for plotting multiple plots. For more information, see Options for Multiple ALT Plots.
The data for each data set is shown in a different color. Example of a single plot and multiple plots for multiple data sets follow. You generate plots for multiple ALT data sets in the same manner as you do for multiple Weibull data sets. For more information, see Plotting Multiple Life Data Sets Simultaneously.
