Hardware Sizing Guidelines
This section provides additional guidelines based on simultaneous user loading and client functionality.
Server Requirements Based on Simultaneous Users
The following table provides minimum recommended requirements for servers based on simultaneous user loading. This table reflects a monolithic architecture with an on-board DB (database) server having the recommended dedicated CPU cores. Other potential configurations, such as physical/virtual clustering, are not addressed. Additionally, if low bandwidth, high latency, or other poor infrastructure conditions exist, adjustments to these recommendations can be necessary. For example, Citrix can be used to avoid network latency for a WAN setup.

Thick Client Hardware Requirements
While the thick client leverages the Windchill Risk and Reliability database server and centralized administration, the client software performs calculations. As such, the minimum hardware requirements for a client computer are 2 GB RAM and 1-GB hard drive space for installation files.
Web Services Hardware Requirements
Most processing is handled server-side. However, the web client must be able to run inside a supported browser and process incoming work requests. To accomplish this, ensure that the web client has at least 512 MB RAM.
Client Functional Characteristics
Functional characteristics for the Windchill Risk and Reliability desktop application are as follow.
Desktop Application
Supports all Windchill Risk and Reliability modules
Supports more extensive import/export capabilities
