Specifying Which Licenses Can be Acquired from the Licensed Modules Area

You generally specify which Windchill Risk and Reliability modules a group has license acquirement rights to when you insert a group.

• For Windchill Risk and Reliability group insertion, see Inserting a Group.

• For LDAP group insertion, see Inserting an LDAP Group.

However, from the Licensed Modules area, you can specify license module acquirement rights for any module for all inserted Windchill Risk and Reliability groups and LDAP groups.

1. If the Licensed Modules area is not active, click the Licensed Modules icon in the shortcut bar.

2. In the Licensed Modules pane, select the module for which to specify acquirement rights.

3. In the License Information pane, select and clear groups in the Groups allowed to license this module list to indicate which can acquire a license for this module. All inserted Windchill Risk and Reliability groups and LDAP groups are listed. You can click the Select All button or Clear All button to select or clear all groups and then customize your selections from there.

While the Groups and LDAP Groups areas provide similar functionality in their Licensed Modules panes, in these areas, you select a group, and then in the Licensed Module pane, you specify the modules for which this group can acquire licenses. Using the Licensed Modules area, you select a module and then indicate all of the groups who can acquire a license for this module.
