Specifying Which Licenses a Group Can Acquire
For a group inserted directly in the Administrator module, you specify the modules the group can acquire using the Licensed Modules pane in the Groups area. For a group loaded from an LDAP server, you specify the modules the LDAP group can acquire using the Licensed Modules pane in the LDAP Groups area. The following procedure is applicable to both of these areas.
1. In the shortcut bar, if the appropriate Groups area is not active, click its icon to make it active.
2. In the Groups pane, click the group for which to specify license acquirement rights.
3. Select the Licensed Modules pane to make it active. All licensed modules are shown in the Modules allowed to be licensed by this group list. Your PTC license determines which Windchill Risk and Reliability modules are licensed.
4. Select the modules the group can license. You can click the Select All button or Clear All button to select or clear all modules and then customize your selections from there.
While the Licensed Modules area provides similar functionality, in it you select a module and then specify the groups that can acquire licenses for this module. For more information, see Specifying Which Licenses Can be Acquired from the Licensed Modules Area. In the Groups area or LDAP Groups area, you select a group and then indicate the modules for which a group can acquire licenses.
