Inserting a User by Copying and Modifying an Existing User
You can insert a new Windchill Risk and Reliability user in the Users area by copying and pasting an existing Windchill Risk and Reliability user. When you copy and paste a user, the newly inserted user has the same account information as the original user. You then need only to modify the account information that differs from the original user.
1. If the Users area is not active, click the Users icon in the shortcut bar.
2. In the Users pane, do one of the following:
Right-click the user to copy and select Copy Record. Then, to pate it, right-click and select Paste Record.
Select the user to copy and then select Edit > Copy Record. Then, to paste it, select Edit > Paste Record.
When the paste is completed, the copied user appears in the Users pane with a Copy of prefix in front of the new user name.
3. Change the name for the newly inserted user.
You can select and modify the user name in the Users pane. Or, you can modify the value for User name in the User Information pane.
The User Information pane displays the account information for the user selected in the Users pane. If you change the value for User name, the name in the Users pane is not updated until you leave the User Information pane.
4. In the User Information pane, enter account information for this new user. For more information, see User Information Pane.
