Deleting a User
You can use the Delete command to delete any Windchill Risk and Reliability user from the Users area. You can also use this same command to delete any LDAP user from the LDAP Users area. The following procedure is applicable to both of these areas.
1. In the shortcut bar, if the appropriate Users area is not active, click its icon to make it active.
2. In the Users pane, do one of the following:
Click the user and press Delete.
Right-click the user and select Delete Records.
Click the user and then select Edit > Delete Records.
A window opens for confirming the deletion.
3. Click Yes.
If the user selected for deletion is the only one in the Administrators group, a second window opens, indicating that this user cannot be deleted. After you click OK, you can designate another user as a member of the Administrators group by selecting that user in the Users pane and then selecting Administrators in the Member of Groups list in the User Information pane. You are then able to successfully delete the initial user because he or she is no longer the only member of the Administrators group.
*
The deletion of an LDAP user from the LDAP Users area does not delete this user from the LDAP server.
