Network Table
The Network table appears on the Network page for a specific context. It displays the network structure defined for the context, which consists of folders and links to contexts and objects throughout Windchill.
You can configure tables in different ways. For more information about working with tables, see Using Tables.
Table Views
You can choose what is displayed in the Network table by selecting a view from the drop-down menu immediately to the right of the table title. The Network table includes the following default views:
Child Context References—Displays contexts that are referenced using the child relationship.
Network Structure Hierarchy—Displays all links, folders, and context references. If a referenced context has a child context, this view displays both contexts in a nested hierarchy.
Non-Child Context References—Displays contexts that are referenced using non-child relationship types (such as related or dependent).
*
The types of relationships available for creating a context reference might vary for your site.
For more information on creating and changing views, see Customizing Table Views.
Columns
The columns in the Network table provide basic information about each object in the table. Often, table columns correspond to the attributes of the object. For more information, see Object Attributes.
The following columns are also available:
Column
Description
Done
If a context reference includes an automatically executed plan, then this column indicates that the plan has been completed.
Estimated Finish
If a context reference includes an automatically executed plan, then this column indicates the estimated finish date for the plan.
Relation
Indicates how the referenced context is related to the one you are viewing. The types of relationships you can specify vary depending on the solutions you have installed at your site and any customizations made by your site administrators. Basic relationship types include:
Related
—The referenced context is related to, but not dependent on, the context.
Dependent—The referenced context contains data that is dependent on the context but is not considered a child context.
Child—The referenced context is a lower-level context that contains information derived from or dependent on the context.
Parent—The context is a child to the referenced context.
State
The current position of the context reference in the life cycle process.
Status
If a context reference has an associated plan, the status is automatically calculated based on the status of individual plan objects.
Actions
Actions are available from the Network table toolbar and the table Actions menu. Certain actions might also be available from the right-click actions menu in individual table rows. Some actions are common to many Windchill objects. For more information about common actions available in Windchill, see Common Actions.
*
The availability of actions depends on the object status, user permission, and the object type.
