Customizing Table Views
To specify which views are available for a specific table, select Customize from the view drop-down list available at the top of tables throughout Windchill. The Customize View List window for that table appears. From this window, you can create new views as well as update existing views. Use the actions icons described in the table below to customize your table views.
Use the Search in table field in the upper right corner of the window to narrow the number of available views. For more information about tables, see Using Tables.

Some tables contain a system-defined column order that cannot be changed. In this case, the checked box icon in the Show column will not be available, indicating that you cannot remove the column.
The following actions may be available from the Views table:

Description
Delete
Deletes the selected table view, so it is no longer available in the system. If the current table view is deleted, the view reverts to the default value.

Use the Hide action described below to remove the view from the drop-down list but retain it in the system.

This action is available for views you have created. In addition, only site administrators can delete out-of-the-box views.
Show
Shows the selected table view in the view drop-down list. In the Show column, a check mark appears when the view is visible.

This action is available for views you have created.
Hide
Hides the selected table view from the view drop-down list but retains the view in the system. In the Show column of the table, a cleared check box appears for hidden views.

This action is available only for views that you have created.
Export
Exports the table view for use in another Windchill system. For more information, see Exporting and Importing Selected Shared and System Table Views.
New View
Opens a new window from which you can create a new table view. For more information, see Creating and Editing Table Views.
Set Active View
Selects the view as the current view used in the table.
Save As
Saves the view under a new name, so you can make modifications to the table view. For more information, see Saving Table Views.
Edit
Opens a new window from which you can make changes to the view. For more information, see Creating and Editing New Table Views.
