Create New Publication Structure Dialog Box
The Create New Publication Structure dialog box allows you to create a new publication structure.
The Create New Publication Structure dialog box is displayed when you select New Publication Structure from the Actions menu on the Publication Structures pane for a product.

Many of the attributes in the window default to the values specified when creating the product.

Description
Product
Displays the current product.
Type
Displays the type of publication structure being created, based on the current product.
Authoring Language
Select an authoring language for the content from the drop-down list.
You must set an authoring language to present the other attribute fields for the dialog.
Publishing Module Extension
Check this to use the optional publication module code extension.

Publication Structure Attributes section
Object
Description
Location
In the Location text box, set the default location where the content for the new publication module is stored.

You can browse to a location by clicking the browse button.
You can select the Autoselect Folder option if you are happy to store the publication module in the default folder.
View
Select the Service, Manufacturing, or Design view.
End Item
Select Yes if the publication refers to an end item.

Description
Model Identifier
Select the model identification code.
Publication Module Template
Displays a list of XML templates that can be selected for the creation of the publication module.

A single template is delivered as default. Administrators can add further templates to satisfy particular publication module requirements.
Target Issue Date
Set the required issue date.
Publication Title
Enter the required publication title.
Publication Short Title
Enter the required short version of the publication title.
Publication Module Number
Enter the required publication module number.
Publication Module Issuer
Enter the required publication module issuer code.
Publication Module Volume
Enter the required publication module volume identifier.
Publication Module Type
(S1000D 4.2 publication structure only)
Select the type of publication module.
The list is populated with look-up library objects of type Publication Module Type. As a default, these values are provided:
• pt01 — Component maintenance publication
• pt02 — Illustrated parts data
• pt03 — Service bulletin
You also have the option to add the custom values pt51 — pt99 to your look-up library.

Responsible Partner Company (RPC)
Select the required Responsible Partner Company NSCM code.
Originator
Select the required originator code.
Include RPC Name
Select the required option; Yes or No.
If Yes is selected, the responsible partner company name is used in the publication structure identifier.
Include Originator Name
Select the required option; Yes or No.
If Yes is selected, the originator name is used in the publication structure identifier.
Country Code
Select the required country code.
Language Code
Select the required language code.
Include In-Work Documents
If set to Yes, then the draft publication includes data modules at PENDING and WIP workflow states.

Security
Select the required security classification.
Brex Data Module
Select the BREX data module from the pull-down list.

InService A&D Defaults section
Not available for S1000D 4.2 publication structures. Publishing of Servigistics InService A&D output is not supported for S1000D 4.2 products.

Description
Publication Identifier
Select a default publication identifier for the publication structure from the drop down list (optional).
This value is used to define the default directory in the product’s DMS Output Path location that will receive Servigistics InService A&D output from the publication structure.
You will be able to select a publication-specific publication identifier when generating publications from this structure.
The list presents the publication identifiers defined for the product.
