How to Export Redline Product Data to Excel
The procedure to export the open redline product data to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet uses the Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet action.
The Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet action is available only when you set the Change Management > Enable BOM Redline preference to Yes in the Preference Management utility in Windchill.
The Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet action launches the Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet window through which you can export product data with an open redline to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet.
To select the action, go to one of the following locations:
The Affected Objects table of a change task
Click the Actions menu and select Export List to File > Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet.
From the right-click actions menu, select Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet.
The BOM Redline structure browser—In the Reports action set of the toolbar, click the Export menu, and select Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet.
To export product data with an open redline to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet, follow the steps below:
1. Select one or more parts with open redlines.
2. Select the Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet action from one of the above locations.
The action launches the Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet window.
3. Under Export Options, you can select one or more options as described in the table below.

Exports the selected parts with open redlines to the redline parts worksheet. When a parent part is selected, the child parts are not exported unless selected for export.
BOM
Exports the product structure with an open redline, including the child parts at all levels. When exporting multiple distinct redline structures, each redline structure is exported to a single distinct spreadsheet in the same workbook.
Replacements
Exports the substitutes for the selected affected objects of the same change notice to the redline replacements worksheet.

The redline replacements worksheet is included in the exported workbook only when the BOM and Replacements export options are selected together. That is, the redline replacements worksheet is exported only if the redline BOM worksheet is exported.

The parent part of a substitute link for export must be a part with an open redline version identified with redline Revision (for example, Chg-A-1) and View.
The child parts of the substitute link for export and the replacement parts (substitutes) can be either parts with open redline or parts without an open redline.
Parts with open redline versions that are identified with redline Revision (for example, Chg-A-1) and View.
Parts without open redline versions that are identified without values for Revision and View.

BOM—Exports the product structure with an open redline, including the child parts at all levels, to the redline BOM worksheet.

Replacements—Exports the substitutes for the selected affected objects of the same change notice to the redline replacements worksheet.

Only the redline parts worksheet will be exported when you select the Parts and Replacements export options.

BOM—Exports the product structure with an open redline, including the child parts at all levels, to the redline BOM worksheet.
Replacements—Exports the substitutes for the selected affected objects (parent and child parts) of the same change notice to the redline replacements worksheet.
4. Under Export Attributes, specify the file name and extension for the exported spreadsheet.

The available file types may change based on the selected export options.
If you select any combination of redline Parts, redline BOM, or redline Replacements from the export options, only the XLSX format is available for the file type.
XLSM format may be available for other export option combinations when configured by an administrator.
5. Click OK.
The Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet window closes and you can proceed to open or download the Excel file.
