Considerations for Exporting Redline Product Data
When exporting redline product structures to Microsoft Excel, consider the following:
The Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet action is available only for parts with open redline.
The workbook can contain multiple worksheets when using the Export Redline Importable Spreadsheet action. A worksheet is created for each of the following:
Redline parts
Redline product structure or BOM
Redline replacements that are defined substitute parts
The exported workbook is downloaded with the XLSX extension.
When exporting multiple redline parts, a single redline parts worksheet is used in the same workbook.
When exporting multiple distinct redline structures, the workbook can contain multiple worksheets such that each redline structure is exported to a single distinct spreadsheet in the same workbook. The root part of a structure in one worksheet is not included in the other worksheet of the workbook.
When exporting multiple redline replacement parts, all selected substitute parts, though resulting in multiple distinct structures, are exported to a single redline substitutes worksheet in the same workbook. The substitutes for the same usage link are exported only once even though used at multiple locations in the same structure or in multiple distinct structures.
The first cell of a worksheet defines the type of data that was exported. The second cell of the top row of a worksheet contains the name of the change notice. The third cell of the top row of a worksheet contains the name of the owning organization of the change notice. If you plan to import the workbook in Windchill, do not modify the first three cells of the top row of a worksheet.
Row 5 of the exported worksheet contains the display names of the soft attributes included in the worksheet. If the attribute does not have a display name, this field is blank.
Row 6 of the exported worksheet contains the internal names of the attributes included in the worksheet. The internal name of an attribute may be a system generated name, such as xje262.
Row 7 and later of the worksheet contain the product data for the worksheet type.
Rows representing parts with open redline versions are identified with redline Revision (for example, Chg-A-1) and View.
Rows representing parts without open redline version are identified without values for Revision and View.
