QuickView enables you to represent complex design assemblies with one lightweight part and improves system performance with large structures. It helps load the large structures faster as well as have better control on where to expand and get more details.

Up to Windchill 12.1.2.0 large structures could be viewed in Windchill, using Internet Explorer(IE) based CreoView plugin. However, with retirement of IE from Windchill as well as from Microsoft, it restricts the capability of visualizing large structure. Without CreoView plugin, the visualization capabilities using the embedded viewer (WebGL Viewer) is limited to up to 4 GB memory usage. With the addition of the new preferences, QuickView is supported in different types of browsers with publish support for Part Structure Browser and CAD Structure browser. MPMLink also supports QuickView in the following browsers: BOM Transformer, Service Associative Part Structure Browser (SAPSB), Process Plan Browser (PPB), and Manufacturing Resource Browser (MRB).

This type of representation may be generated during standard publishing process or invoked via the WVS Job Scheduler which allows for high level of detail generation without disrupting standard publish performance.
