You can choose whether or not a step requires a type of feedback using the Step requires drop-down menu.

No feedback is required by the end-user.

Confirmation
|
The end-user is required to provide confirmation that they completed the step by selecting a checkbox.

Pass/Fail
|
The end-user is required to confirm if an item meets certain criteria by selecting pass or fail.

A user can still complete a procedure without entering the requested feedback, but they will be warned if the feedback has not been completed.
